Process
How an emergency call-out works
-
Call or WhatsApp us directly
You speak to a licensed electrician, not a call centre. Describe what happened and we will tell you over
the phone whether it is something you can safely check yourself or whether we should come down.
-
Phone estimate before we move
We give you an honest range for the attendance fee and the likely repair based on the symptoms, so there
is no surprise when we arrive.
-
On-site fault finding
We isolate the affected circuit, test for earth leakage and short circuits, and trace the fault back to
the appliance, accessory or cable section causing it.
-
Quotation, then repair
You are shown the fault and quoted the repair before work starts. Most power trips, breaker replacements
and socket faults are restored on the same visit.
-
Test and hand over
The circuit is re-tested under load before we leave, and we explain what caused the fault so it does not
repeat.

Burning smell from the DB box, Dairy Farm Residences (condominium)
CondominiumLate night call-outResolved in 1–2
hours
Problem: The homeowner reported a strong burning smell coming from the distribution
board late at night.
Solution: Our EMA Licensed Electrical Worker attended on site and traced the smell to
a burnt VI connector, loose wire terminations and a poor original wiring layout inside the DB box. The
wiring was re-arranged, the damaged components replaced, and power was safely restored within two hours.
Whole-flat power trip after a water heater was switched on (HDB)
HDB flatSame-day attendanceResolved in under 2
hours
Problem: The main RCCB tripped the moment the bathroom water heater was switched on,
cutting power to the whole flat.
Solution: Insulation testing confirmed earth leakage from a degraded heating element,
with a partially melted double-pole isolator switch adding resistance on the same circuit. The isolator
was replaced, the heater circuit re-tested, and the homeowner was advised on replacing the failing
heater unit.

FAQ
Emergency electrician questions
Are you really available 24 hours, including weekends and public holidays?
Yes. We take emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and Singapore public
holidays. Call or WhatsApp +65 9025 0076 and you will speak to a licensed
electrician rather than an answering service.
Why does my DB box trip frequently?
Frequent tripping is usually caused by a faulty appliance, current leakage through damaged or ageing
wiring, moisture in a socket or conduit, or a circuit carrying more load than it was designed for. Take
note of any appliance plugged in shortly before the tripping started — that is the single most
common cause.
Why does the power trip when I turn on the water heater?
A heater that trips the RCCB usually points to a degraded heating element leaking current to earth, an
oxidised or melted double-pole isolator switch, or cable that is undersized for the heater's current
draw. Stop using the heater until it has been tested — an earth leakage fault is a shock risk, not
just an inconvenience.
What should I do before the electrician arrives?
A few things make the visit faster and safer:
- Switch off and unplug the appliance you suspect.
- Do not keep forcing a tripped breaker back up.
- Stay away from any socket or fitting that is scorched, sparking or wet.
- Use a torch or phone light rather than candles.
- If you smell burning at the DB box, switch off the main switch if it is safe to reach.
Why am I not allowed to create an SP account for my commercial unit?
If the unit's load demand exceeds 45 kVA, SP Group and EMA regulations require an EMA Licensed
Electrical Worker to assess the total load, endorse the single-line diagram and submit the application
on your behalf. You cannot apply directly through the consumer portal. We handle this submission for
commercial and industrial tenants.
Are your electricians licensed?
Yes. All work is carried out under EMA Licensed Electrical Worker licence number
7/81470, with more than 20 years of field experience across HDB flats, condominiums,
landed homes and commercial units in Singapore.
